Having a 4 week stay you obviously want certain things to be at a standard. The hotel on the whole fantastic. But my whole review I’m going to centre around one person. Mitch. Everytime she was in, the day picked up. Whatever the weather was, however you felt waking up away from home, her welcoming smile and accompanied by her friendly attitude and caring nature made the day beginning pick up immediately. She explained everytime why things couldn’t be done or what she could do to help us. She never let us in before the breakfast opened at 7, and when we sat down the quiet was then eased by some light music. She welcomed friendly chat about all sorts of things and made staying away easy. She helped us out with picking a breakfast that wasn’t repetitive, with such a long stay and also advised us on evening meals and potential queries we had. If the hotel loses any member of staff if physically can’t be Mitch. There is a clear contrast when she’s in and when she’s not. She waiting on eggs for example is not an issue when she’s in, when she’s missing the wait clocks up to above 20 minutes some days and when you have to be out for a certain time it makes breakfast a rush. Seeing her treat every customer the same is a joy to behold whether they were part of my company or the general public. They were all treated the same and greeted with the same big smile. She’s a credit to the establishment and clearly in my opinion the pedestal! I’d stay at the hotel again merely to be welcomed at breakfast by Mitch
