We stayed at Ayubo Ella Bed & Breakfast during our family train trip to Ella with our two kids (ages 11 and 7). We were looking for a budget-friendly place for two nights, and this turned out to be a great find! The place was clean, comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and our trip a success. It's about a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride from town, but the hotel management will arrange the tuk-tuks for you, so you don't need to worry about negotiating fares. Although they primarily serve breakfast, they can have lunch or dinner delivered if needed, which was very convenient. While the hotel is located on the side of a mountain and doesn't offer the iconic views Ella is known for, there are still some pleasant views and a nearby tea plantation where you can take a nice walk. Overall, a comfortable stay with great service!

About 10 KM to Horton Plains NP, exceptionally lovely scenery. Proximity to the NP is marred by the abysmal road conditions, driving on which can be bone crushing- even though this is not the fault of the owner. The manager and the staff are excellent, they try to serve you with full attention and to the best of available resources. Description on the website is accurate and the owner writes promptly and clearly without fanfare or lies. Food is excellent, although they tend to limit the portions- say one small piece of chicken per dinner plate!! Even so, food is excellent and they make what you order. Rooms are well appointed. Bathrooms are not very clean. Again, this is not due to lack of staff or resources but carelessness, which is a shame. Rooms are otherwise well appointed. Overall though one should expect more for the price you pay for the room and board. By local standards this place is expensive. Given the poor road condition, proximity to the park is not that meaningful and staying in other places may be better. Make sure that you take cash, because CC don't work neither here and certainly not at the main gate of the Horton Plains NP which attracts many tourists but has no facilities for the money you pay as a foreigner, which is also a shame for a country struggling with financial hardships.

우리는 하이킹 활동 후 화장실을 사용하기 위해 처음에 여기에 들렀습니다. 우리는 주스를 구입하고 시설을 사용했습니다. 직원들은 사랑스럽고 장소는 매우 깨끗합니다. 우리는 그날 저녁 늦게 술을 마시기 위해 돌아왔다. 우리는 꽃밭에 밖에 앉았다. 우리는 발코니에서 전망을 감상하면서 아름다운 새들의 삶을 목격했습니다. 우리는 열대 강우량을 통해 앉았고 야외 우산은 외부에 머물면서 광경을 즐길 수 있는 충분한 대피소를 제공했습니다. 로제 와인이 음료 목록에 있는 것은 스리랑카에 도착한 이후로 처음이었습니다. 우리는 매우 정중하고 이야기하기 좋은 Hansani가 제공했습니다. 전망이 있는 한 모금을 즐기기에 좋은 곳입니다.

This experience has truly been out of this world. Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully crafted with such care, from the warm welcome upon arrival to the scenic buggy ride to our suite, showcasing the breathtaking landscapes of Ella. We loved the early morning hike at dawn and unwinding in the infinity pool with its stunning views. The beakfast was delicious and with lots of variety. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay, and we’re already looking forward to returning. This place is truly magical.

Amazing views from the hotel, albeit it is rather isolated. The staff and service was outstanding and the pool and terrace was a great place to relax and watch the local wildlife. The rooms are very good with a great balcony for drinking in the view. Whilst the bathroom was very good I’m not sure how hygienic the shower is as the stones can harbour all sorts and are not very practical to keep clean.

Our tour company booked this stay for us and they certainly did well..this we found out is a family run business and they certainly do it well.. The location is a 5min walk to the main street shopping and restaurants anything that you might need the Inn is in a quiet lane clean and well presented the staff were super friendly and genuine or bags were taken up to our room which was very clean with a balcony bathroom was also tidy with fresh towels clean bed linen breakfast is Western or Sri lankan we chose Sri Lankan which was absolutely delicious..finally nothing was a problem..we had a great stay..Thank You
