We stayed in the disability wheelchair friendly unit (5 I think) for 1 night as we were wrapping up our road trip of the South Island. The hotel staff is friendly and tries to be helpful. They allowed us a late checkout which we appreciated. The included breakfast was also appreciated. We had to bring our breakfast to our room since the breakfast room was upstairs and my wheelchair confined wife could not climb the stairs. The grab bat for the toilet is on the right side. The roll in shower could mean issues for some travelers. The motel had a fold down shower bench but it was mounted on the same wall as the shower controls. To use the bench would mean the user would be faced opposite and away from the shower controls. Don't know if there is a way to remount the bench on a side wall which would give the user a reasonable chance to use the controls. For us though, it was not an issue as we brought our own shower stool so we could bypass the installed shower bench. Overall, though, we found the motel met our needs very well. Our room overlooked the harbor which was nice. There is not much else around the motel so a car would be very helpful to an enjoyable stay.

이 아주 좋은 Palms Nelson Motel에서 2박. 우리는 1층 스튜디오 트윈룸을 가지고 있었습니다. 깨끗하고 조용하고 편안한 객실. 주방은 잘 갖춰져 있고 멋진 욕실이 있습니다. 위치도 너무 좋았습니다. 슈퍼마켓은 길 건너편에 있습니다. 도보 거리에 트라팔가 거리, 카페 및 레스토랑이 있습니다. 강을 따라 멋진 산책로 및/또는 조깅 산책로가 있습니다. 큰 장점은 친절한 서비스였습니다.

We spent a week here while our daughter was at a music camp at Nelson College. The accommodation is old but well maintained and scrupulously clean. Beds were comfortable, and the rooms were warm. But the real gem of this place is the hosts. Such friendly, unobtrusive care.

Popular large hotel in the heart of Nelson CBD. Perfect for sightseeing the area or business trips. In our case it was a conference being held here. Been here before so happy to return as the facilities are very good. It’s a little dated decor wise but still very well maintained to a good quality place to stay.

Basic room but has all you need. The property is probably a little tired but the room was clean and warm. Feels a little like an English, Tudor pub but the rooms are spacious as is the bathroom. Service was welcoming and there is plenty of parking. You are close to the airport and auto museum and about 10 minutes drive to Nelson town centre. My two nights were super quiet and I slept amazingly well.
