It's being the worst experience I've ever had with hotels in my life so far The room is much lower quality than expected. The mirror, bathroom floor, and table were dirty. There was old food inside the fridge! Most importantly, the hotel is not pet friendly! Stop saying you are! I brought my pet together for a business trip and I simply cannot leave the pet inside the room by itself. I checked their whole website and it's not mentioned anywhere. It means I cannot do anything outside the hotel that doesn't allow a pet. I have to go to the office, restaurant, and everything but I can't, because I cannot leave the pet in a place supposedly pet friendly. The charged me 12 euros a day because of the pet and I cannot do anything apart staying in the room with the pet. I made my stay with them just impossible. It was never mentioned before. After all, they denied my refund request, saying it's a non refundable cancellation. Of course it is not a reservation. How could I know in advance they have this policy if they don't make it explicit anywhere? It's a product that I bought and didn't work as promised! It's simple, you didn't make this policy explicit, and it was absolutely essential to me Stay away from this terrible place!

Sadly my 5-day break has come to an end. This has been a wonderful experience, even though my first time back since my husband's passing, so it was tough! The staff (on the whole) were incredible, in particular ”old time waiter” Daniel who excelled at breakfast and had a constant smile in his face. He greeted everyone in the same, kind, friendly manner and service was brilliant. The General Manager, Carlos Boga, (of whom all the staff spoke so very highly) seemed to be everywhere, organising last minute conference requests and seeing to personal guests and ”famous faces” too. The Reception staff were very helpful as were the Customer Service Representatives both on my arrival and departure. I had been very reluctant to come alone but the staff made it a very easy and relaxing experience. I will not be so apprehensive when I return: in fact, I positively look forward to it, hopefully with family in tow!

Fantastic hotel with great facilities and really friendly staff, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Hospes Palau de la Mar. The hotel is in a very convenient position within walking distance to everything, close to bus stops and the Metro. All the staff were fabulous, very friendly and accommodating. We were absolutely delighted to discover we had a private terrace with two chairs and a table; what a bonus! The decor was super, just white walls and dark wood, all in keeping with the lovely building. It was clean, quiet, great shower…..I simply can’t fault it. We made use of the pool, which is small but perfect for a refreshing dip (book in with the reception staff). We had a great stay in Valencia, it’s an interesting and very beautiful city. We felt safe everywhere we went and were impressed with everyone’s friendliness. Highly recommended.

This is not a good place to stay if you treasure your possessions. We had several items which went missing from our room. One was a fairly expensive tee shirt, and the other thing that went missing was my wife’s silver necklace. When we confronted the hotel management about this, all we received were shrugged shoulders and blank looks. Perhaps they’re all in on it. I think it’s called shrinkage in the trade. Five star they told me. More like a thieves kitchen.

The room or suite was very spacious and very clean. Panoramic views from the very large window - but no balcony. The bathroom was a fair size but could get very slippy and no gripping for showering which could be a problem for elderly or less mobile guests. The breakfast was buffet style. There was some choice in cereals, toast, bacon, ham, cheese, fresh orange juice and a drinks machine for tea, coffee and hot chocolate. I would have preferred more egg choices such as scrambled. The downside was the loud music from an open air nightclub nearby. This would go on until 3am. Staff, with one exception, who worked in the restaurant were nice and friendly.

Fifth hotel on our grand hotel of Spain, very well located in a semi-residential neighborhood about 1.5 miles from the city center. Room was a good size, comfortable beds, good breakfast room with good food offerings. Several nice restaurants in the area to choose from.

This hotel is recommended for a city trip to Valencia. The location next to the harbor and the beach is ideal for a walk along the promenade. There is a streetcar stop and various bus lines nearby, making it easy to get into the city. There is also a hop-on hop-off bus stop nearby. Our room on the harbor side was large enough and functionally furnished considering that we were out and about all day and were only in the room to sleep. In the evening the music (bass) from the nearby beach club could be heard, but we didn't mind. The room was clean and the room service was very reliable. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of meats, cheeses and fruit and egg dishes were freshly prepared. A good start to a day in the city. Our only criticism concerns the staff at reception. When we entered the lobby, we never heard a ”Hola” or ”Buenos días” or saw a smiling face that would have made us feel welcome. This is not what we are used to from Spanish hotels. But all in all a successful stay and we would come again.

The service attitude is good, the service is fast, the location is good and it is convenient to go everywhere, but the hotel hygiene details are not enough. Great overall
