However, when I (and several other guests) tried to get the breakfast at about 8am (something that is paid for in the nightly fee), there were a few hot items, two slices of bread, two cinnamon buns and coffee. That's it. No milk, yogurt, or fruit, and certainly not enough for all guests. No oatmeal or cereal. Many of us milled around waiting for more food, then we ventured into the ”Employees Only” space to find the staff person on her phone. When she was asked if she was putting out anything additional (fruit? yogurt? more than 2 slices of bread?) she said there wasn't anything to put out. I let the front desk manager (who was not at the front desk, but was in back on her phone) know but left to find breakfast elsewhere. Would have shared this privately in a survey had one been sent to me, but in the absence of one, I'm positing here.

I’m here due to power outages in Spartanburg,SC. My home residence has gases pumped into the interior that produce respiratory distress/anaphylaxis. These activities have occurred at two previous residences as well. This group/network which is tied to law enforcement (corruption) has set up these same circumstances at this location/motel. I began smelling these gases on Monday. I booked for a few days since power is down for an extended amount of time.

As a whole, I left very satisfied, and please look below for a more detailed outline. Location: 5 Stars It’s super close to a mall, tons of restaurants, a grocery store, gas stations, and is easily accessible from I26. Curb Appeal: 5 Stars The outside is in fantastic shape and looks nice no matter how close or far you are. The landscaping is also well done, and parking is plentiful and well lit. Common Areas: 5 Stars While I didn’t make use of the pool, I can vouch for the business and fitness center being perfectly adequate, and all of the sitting areas, hallways, plus elevators were well appointed, and were kept clean throughout my stay. Customer Service: 6 Stars I couldn’t help but give a bit of a bonus here, this is seriously one of the best managed hotel, and probably the friendliest people I’ve encountered in the industry. Jessica specifically was fantastic, she’s definitely in the right industry. The Room Itself: 4.5 Stars I had room 407 which was a 1 Queen Studio Suite and was nearly perfect. The entry way was well lit, and had a spacious closet with tons of clever storage solutions (a theme that continues throughout the room) and all the amenities a good hotel would have. There was also a galley kitchen across from it that did everything you’d expect with nice and clean dishware. Past this was a rather nice desk area that was well lit and had plenty of outlets and a ton of built in storage. Beyond this is the sofa which was pretty comfy and featured some tables. The view was nothing special but the drapes where in good shape and the HVAC worked well. The bed was also nice and had plenty of storage and plugs around it. Last but not least is the spacious and spotless restroom with tons of storage and a functional sink and toilet. The only complaint about my stay would be the fact that the shower had a few rough patches in the caulk and the curtain was every so slightly too long and proved a nuisance when trying to shower. Neither of these are big deals though. Value: 5 Stars Considering this was the cheapest mid scale hotel in the neighborhood, and included an above average free breakfast, I consider it an excellent value. Summary: If you’re coming to the Columbiana area, I think I found your hotel!

|도심까지 거리: 2.08kmWe checked out as soon as we arrived! First of all, they were resurfacing the parking lot and there was wet tar everywhere (not to mention the smell). One of our traveling companions has COPD which was exacerbated by the strong fumes! Tar is considered toxic and carcinogenic-as it contains cancer causing particles. We were Not told when we made this reservation that our stay would coincide with the resurfacing of the parking lot (very bad timing for a busy Saturday afternoon)! Aside from this, who wants to get tar all over their new luggage while rolling it up a hill (we weren't allowed to park near the hotel-had to use the lower parking lot). Even if we had decided to overlook the tar problem, we would have had to go elsewhere because the room that I had booked (and I called the number on the website to confirm) ”does not exist” on the ground floor (which we needed due to having small dogs with us)! When I questioned why a room that ”does not exist” was confirmed when I called, the gentleman at the front desk, replied, ”Oh, you can't believe everything that they tell you on the phone. When you call us, your call may be forwarded to the Reservations Dept. and they have no idea how we are set up here.” After multiple phone calls to other hotels and a few wasted hours of our time, we checked into a hotel a couple of miles away that met all of our needs. Of note, what we were told on the phone was consistent with what we experienced upon our arrival.

Well later when I was ready to shower, I realized there was no body wash in the compartment. I called downstairs and some was brought up. Then as I was cleaning up the living area, I realized the trash had not been taken out from the previous guest. This really made me feel as if my room had not been cleaned properly. I had no coffee cups or coffee in my room just a coffee lid. I just did not have a pleasant stay at all. The room was spacious and the renovations were nice but apprehensive about staying again.

|도심까지 거리: 9.25km** Beware of theft ** I stayed at this hotel this week, and unfortunately, my AirPods were stolen by a member of the staff. The day after I left, I noticed they were missing, and I checked the location and saw they were at the hotel still. When I called the hotel to ask if they were there, I was told they were not in the lost and found. The next evening, I checked to see if they had moved on my Apple account and they were located at a town nearby at a residential address. The following morning they were back at the hotel which confirmed that an employee was in possession of them. I called and spoke to the general manager, Lisa Yilmaz, let her know about the situation and she told me she couldn’t help me because her employees were contracted. When I proceeded to let her know that if I had to drive there, I would bring the police with me to retrieve my items, She asked if I was threatening her. She was extremely rude and unprofessional, she took my information down and 20 minutes later a different manager gave me a call. This manager, Faith, was extremely kind and helpful and let me know that my AirPods were located in the lost and found. (This couldn’t have been true since they were in a different town at a home the night before) Lisa was complicit in knowing that my stolen item was with an employee and placed them in the lost and found and asked another manager to call me to notify me of my items being there. After driving two hours to receive my AirPods, (they refused to ship them to me), I spoke to Faith, who was not aware of the situation of my AirPods being missing and told me she would look into all of the issues and was very kind. It is a shame that the general manager is allowing her employees to take items from guests without any admission or repercussion. Be cautious with your items.

I immediately called Marriott and booked this hotel. This property has undergone a fairly recent reservation. The staff was courteous and responsive. I was amazed by coffee available at the lounge. It was as good as fresh coffee at a Starbucks store. The room was clean and quiet. A great stay after a bad experience. The property had the feel of a much higher priced hotel.

Be prepared that athletic teams stay here, so breakfast and amenities (like the fitness center) may be taken over. There weren't any issues with noise, thankfully. The breakfast was just OK - I've had better at other Holiday Inn Express properties we've stayed at. There hot water dispenser was broken, yet they had it out? Why? I was appreciative of the great check-out experience. Check-in was another story, however. When I got to my room, the front desk clerk called up, saying I had ”dropped” my drivers license and credit card. Nope, didn't ”drop” it - the clerk forgot to give it to me after processing it (and I didn't ask). But just be straightforward...there's no way that three people in my party didn't hear/see me dropping plastic on ceramic tile in the lobby. That was disappointing...just be honest... Parking is $14/day.

I never say this about a hotel. Everything was so well done and thought out to make the stay welcoming and comfortable. We were greeted at check in with a glass of wine or local beer. Every morning we had breakfast delivered to our room. We were able to pick from 6 different items prepared by the Sandwich Depot across the street. We worked our way through all 6 options during our stay, and all of them were excellent! The pork chop breakfast sandwich was a real stand out! The room was very comfortable. This is a boutique hotel with cool decor and art and quirkiness. Just fabulous. There are great restaurants in walking distance, and the State House was just a few blocks away as well. Congaree NP was a mere 35 minute drive away. I highly recommend staying here!

I booked my stay (4/27/24-4/29/24) at the Embassy Suites in Columbia, SC approximately 3 weeks in advance (confirmation #XXXXXXXXXXX). I booked a suite with 2 double beds. I called the hotel 4 days in advance to confirm the reservation, and to advise the front desk that I would be arriving late (approximately between 9:00-10:00 p.m.. I was told that would not be an issue. On 4/27/2024, sometime between 6:00-7:00 p.m., I called (what I thought was) the front desk, and was told that I did not have a suite, but only one king size bed, and no suite. I later learned that I was routed to the main Hilton number. Given that I was traveling with a friend, that was unacceptable. I told the representative that, and was told that the hotel was completely booked, and that she would have to ”adjust” my reservation. I told her that I wanted to speak to her manager. Instead, she transferred me to the front desk of the hotel in Columbia, who also told me that she did not have my room, and that she only had a king and not a suite. At that point, I was very irate, given that I paid for a suite with 2 double beds. At that point, I explained that I paid for a suite, and would like to be transferred to her manager or a Hilton customer service representative. Thereafter, I was told she would move someone, and gave me my suite. . I am speculating that that hotel gave my room to someone else earlier in the evening. Later that night, there was a large party in the lobby, kids were running around the lobby and blasting loud music. Other residents started yelling down (given that it was 11:00 at night). Frankly, it appeared that the hotel manager had lost complete control of the situation, and was allowing certain guests to run rampant throughout the hotel lobby. By 12:00, the lobby finally settled down. There was one positive; in that, the cook making the omelets on Sunday morning 4/28/2024, did a great job managing the crowd. However, the bartender on duty (both nights I stayed) should really learn about customer engagement. I bartended for 3 years, and I think I remember the importance of making someone feel comfortable at the bar. She definitely did not do that. (If you don't like your job - find something else). For that matter, I did not feel comfortable (or safe for that matter) at the hotel, which is why I initially picked a Hilton Embassy Suites over the competition. This is supposed to be a flagship hotel for the chain – very disappointing. Frankly, this was one of the most unprofessionally run hotels in which I have ever stayed. I don't think I will stay at the Embassy Suites again and I will question staying at a Hilton again.
