I have been staying here on and off for over 5 years. The staff at the front desk and restaurant are always wonderful. They remember me each time I check in and my room preferences Margarita and Miranda make this place home. The renovations look great and were much needed. My only complaint is the Maintenace at this hotel is lacking. I have spoken to the GM about the fitness center on several occasions. It seems the upkeep of the equipment is overlooked. The hot tub has not worked in over a year. We had an even there the last few days and there is only one working restroom in the banquet area. To spend so much money on renovations you would think the team would do a better job of keeping the hotel running smoothly. You have a beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. Make sure to keep operations running.

We arrived and the room below us had cops looking around it, our room was as cleaned as it could be.. but lots stains on blankets and mattress, toilet has a melted spot on the seat, bathtub was worn out bad, only 1 out of 4 lamps worked. It was extremely hot in the room .. took awhile for the AC to cool off. Staff was friendly, we didn’t stay for breakfast because it started at 7am not 6am on weekend but that’s okay, my kids just needed to eat Asap so we checked out and left. They are remodeling and only had old rooms left, more than half were already remodeled. So I was staying in the next month or so I’d say my experience would have been different.

We loved getting the 2 bedroom suite. Lots of room for everybody with the living area, kitchen and 3 televisions. Hot breakfast was nice, and we were able to park very close to our vehicle. LSU band was staying there, and we never heard a peep. We also felt that it was a safe location to stay.

Boomtown.. the name alone seems to tell a story about what it is store! This was a memorable evening. We arrived into the area late - and unexpected on a Thursday. We generally just find a hotel as we enter town. However as we started searching, almost every option was sold out. This is what eventually lead us to Boomtown. We showed up and they had a double room. However as the front desk was checking us in, the double room disappeared and the only option was a king suite with jacuzzi tub. Given we really had no other options and it was late, we took the option and asked for some additional bedding for our kids to sleep on the floor. The front desk ladies were kind but you could tell they were understaffed and doing their best. The room was okay - it is dated and you can tell not much has been put into updating this hotel/casino/resort. It wasn't necessarily dirty, but it did not feel super clean either. We all chalked it up to an adventure and made the best of the evening before getting up early and leaving town. While it was not the worst stay, I would not stay here again. In fact, I would avoid Bossier City and Shreveport completely and stay elsewhere. We travel quite frequently and this was a town/city that gave us an uncomfortable/unsafe feeling. We rarely have this feeling (and we've been some places!) so when it happens, we take note.
