We stayed here for a week long softball tournament. Our first time at this hotel and our last. For the most part the hotel it self was nice and clean. Our HUGE problem we had was with an issue with an additional charge that came off of our account the day before check out. I saw it early Friday morning went down to the front desk to discuss. The ”acting” General mgr was there and I explained what was going on and showed her on my account the charges. She told me that she was going to email the manager (owner) and she would get back to me. I told her I wanted to try to get it resolved because it was a Friday and we were leaving the next day and I didn't want to get back to Texas and not have it fixed. She said she understood and would get back to me. I waited a few hours and did not hear anything. I went down and she said that she was waiting to hear back from the owner about it and she would let me know. I waited again and now it's after 3. My daughter had a game and we had to leave so I stopped by the front desk again and I explained to her that the day was almost done and I had not heard anything. She said that she was emailing the owner again now and that she would call me back in a little while and let me know what she said. Guess what?! No one called me. I called the hotel now it's almost 5 and the young man at the desk had no idea what I was talking about. She had left for the day and did not call me and did not tell him anything about it at all. I had to explain it all over again and he was trying to figure it out for us. Long story short. I am just posting this now because the money just released 31 days later. I spoke with Kerry multiple times each time she was going to email and call me back and never did. I had to leave messages for her and she stopped even responding. My bank said if they wrote a letter saying that we did not owe them anything that they would release the hold within 48 hours. She said that she had to get an okay from the owner and gave me the email address for the owner as well. I emailed her 3 times to ask her to help me with this and never got 1 email back. I told Kerry if she was the acting gm that she should be able to write something saying our balance was clear and help us out but she said she couldn't with out the owners ok. We were not asking for free nights or to be reimbursed for anything. Just asking them to help us with the letter to be able to use the money that was on hold. It took 31 days because they could not respond or get a letter written for us. We will use our money somewhere else in the future since it was such a bother to try to help us get this fixed. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED in the way that I was blown off by Kerry. It may not have been a big deal to them because they had been paid. But it was a big deal to us when we needed to be able to use the almost 800 dollars that was on hold and we couldn't.

Great service clean room and the jacuzzi spa rub was amazing comfortable bed and great customer service at front desk good housekeeping the atmosphere was pleasant and quiet internet worked very well such a relaxing getaway

Avoid this hotel if at all possible. Have a unique scam. Checked in at 1am and checked out at 10am. Several days later reviewed my credit card account and noticed the normal 163.00 room charge followed by another 150.00 charge. Called to be sure I wasn't double charged and I was told it was a 150.00 incidental charge for a soiled sheet. I asked what do you mean soiled. I was told that the sheet and a pillow case had a light pinkish smear on them. They claim they suspected blood or lipstick. I told them there is no way possible that there was blood on the sheets and I doubted even lipstick. I asked if they laundered the sheets to see if it came out and the lady speaking said that it possibly would've came out if laundered but their policy is to take pics and discard the sheets without laundering them. Once again I let them know there was no way we left any blood on the linens and asked to talk to the manager. Took several calls over several days to finally get the manager on the phone. The manager seemed to have a male name but was a woman that I was talking to. She got very rude with me and said she would not refund the incidental charge. I asked to speak with the proprietor(owner) and she refused to let me speak with him or give me the number to contact him. She told me, I cannot speak to the owner and she would not repeat herself and I asked her not to hang up because I still had questions to ask, yet she just hung up on me anyway. I contacted Choice Hotels customer service and they opened a case but pretty much have asked me to continue to work with the owner of the property whom I am not allowed to speak with. Bottom line is, I didn't leave any blood on a sheet and when asked if they had laundered or at least put shout on the ”light smear” they told me they are not allowed to use shout or other chemicals and policy is to just charge a 150 incidental charge. I even asked them how do I know the sheet came from my room and they didn't answer. I will be leaving a similar review for choice hotels if they do not get more involved. In my opinion, avoid this hotel at all cost. Even if another hotel is more expensive, avoid the Quality Inn in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

I absolutely love this hotel! The location is perfect and the view is like none other. The staff is so nice. From the moment we checked in, Emma at the front desk was great! She checked on us multiple times during our stay to make sure we were having a good stay. She was the smiling face that we looked forward to seeing every day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get away to a beautiful destination!
