Abbiamo trascorso 2 notti in questo delizioso boutique hotel che è una Villa d’epoca di ca. 100 anni fa, sapientemente ristrutturata e rifinita lussuosamente ma con sobrietà. Ci ha accolti la proprietaria, Margherita, molto gentile e simpatica che ci ha illustrato i dintorni e cosa vedere/fare. La stanza (che in realtà è un appartamento) era all’ultimo piano con un grande terrazzo attrezzato con lettini e teli per il sole. L’arredamento interno molto confortevole ed elegante. Le sale comuni e l’ampio giardino curatissimi e veramente belli con varie sculture molto originali. Siamo stati davvero benissimo e condivido il punteggio pieno degli altri recensori. Buona anche la colazione.

The hotel has been totally renovated recently to an outstanding level. The room was ultra-comfortable and perfectly appointed – the most user-friendly room we have encountered. The décor of the room, and the marble bathroom, are worthy of featuring in Vogue. We had a great view from our small balcony looking towards the mountains one way and the sea the other. Windows are openable to get cross-breezes, but the air conditioning also works well. The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area adjacent to the interesting historic centre of Carrara. The very welcoming and helpful staff recommended possible restaurants and booked for us at the one we chose that featured typical local gourmet dishes and excellent wines. They also provided great information about sightseeing and tours to the famous Carrara quarries (from which Michelangelo sourced his special white marble). The breakfast room on the roof (5th floor with large outdoor area) gives a great view of the city and surrounds, with an excellent breakfast. The combination of the wonderful staff and the high standard of the room, common guest spaces and location made us wish we were staying longer in Carrara.
