We had forgotten about the time change when we were coming in from Maine so wish we had had more time to explore in the evening, but the room was everything we wanted. HUGE room with kitchenette and sitting area. The bed was clean and comfortable and the deck was why we booked it - high tide, low tide, full moon, sunset, sunrise - right outside our door. We misunderstood the AC unit and asked for a fan. A fan was delivered quickly and then a lesson in how to run the AC unit so we really had not needed it, but they were very helpful. It did seem like folks beside us were residing there and the cooking scents were strong, but not anything that was concerning (just made us hungry). In the morning there was coffee, donut, and yogurt - it was all we needed to get on the road. We walked out and around the town before checking out and would definitely consider staying here again. There was no elevator so do be prepared to carry up your luggage, but the front desk staff was more than willing to assist.

This is without a doubt the most posh hotel in NB. It's very elegant and provides the service of a 5* hotel and has the activities of a resort. However, our room was not well maintained. Many electric outlets were impossible to use, they were wonky and loose. One if the pillowcases hadn't been changed. In a hotel where the ambition is so high, even the broom closets should be impeccable. It advertised as dog friendly but a 50$ charge is added for the dog. Might I suggest providing at least a few dog enabled rooms for that price? They could have dog beds/treats or at least a bowl for water at that price. The other unpleasant surprise was a resort fee that remained hidden until check out. The price of the room was already well above all other hotels in NB, and making that fee a hidden charge is unacceptable. If you need to charge more, show it in the booking price.

After reading all the positive reviews, my husband and I decided to stay here for one night enroute to PEI. We were so disappointed! The rooms and bedding were clean and the continental breakfast was basic. That's where the positive aspects of the hotel end. The rooms are so tired and poorly maintained. The ceiling in the bathroom was dirty with brown spots and the towel rack was all but ready to fall off. The drywall tape above the sink was loose. The outdated brass accents and lamp on the desk were quite rusted and the outside of the bathtub is also beginning to rust. The beds were extremely soft and sank in the middle. I would not stay here again or would I recommend this hotel to anyone else.
