Très bien situé

The Shawinigan hotel scene is limited to a few offerings, and the Comfort Inn is probably one of the best deal in town by delivering on what most guests will be looking for: A comfortable place to stay/sleep, enough space to move around, a decent size bathroom, and no major issues with room or water temperature. Bonus for offering a basic breakfast buffet offering. Is there anything wrong with the Comfort Inn... not really. It is just a hotel that is slowly showing its age and would need the typical updates such as new carpeting, a fresh coat of pain and a more contemporary look. The beds, although comfortable, are also showing some signs of heavy use. Bathroom amenities are fairly basic Staff is very friendly, the wifi has been fairly reliable, and this place has provided me with suitable accommodations when I needed them

The hotel is nicely located just a short drive to the national park's east gate. There is a free breakfast service, but it's just the continental breakfast. No meats, eggs, whatsoever, just bread. We were assigned to a motel-style room that opens to the exterior. Little did we know that the door on the other end is the actual front door of our room. So that's a nice surprise, we got two entrances to our room. The TV remote was extremely difficult to work with. We never even got to turn the TV on and off by remote. We had to manually press it. The lighting in the washroom is amazing though. You can dim the lights in the shower and by the beds. They also have mini-lamps beside the beds so that's a nice feature. Our coffee maker did not work though. It just boiled the water and did not successfully brewed our coffee, so that's sad.

Quel plaisir de découvrir ce petit ensemble de chalets lodges joliment posés le long de la rivière ! Endroit très accueillant et très apaisant ! Tables et fauteuils sont disposés sur les pelouses, tous les chalets sont équipés d’une terrasse et d’un barbecue. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le confort de notre lodge (le Chretien), spacieux et avec une excellente literie (même si les chambres sont assez petites). Magnifique vue de notre terrasse sur la rivière. Nous sommes allés dîner au bar restau du petit complexe : c’était excellent ! Poutines, tacos délicieux Une excellente adresse, la prochaine fois nous resterons plusieurs jours
