A traditional hotel, perhaps I should say a traditional Parador, with everything that one associates with these: lots of olde worlde touches in the public areas, and lots of very dark wood in the bedroom. Yet this wasn’t an historic Parador, in a castle or convent from the 16th century, being barely 100 years old. Or should I say the rooms, plural? We had what was really a suite, with a bedroom well furnished with an interesting ornately carved headboard (but not a king-sized bed, to our surprise), opening out on to a large sitting room, again well furnished. There were so many chairs and sofas that we could seat 8 people in cushioned armchair or sofa comfort, 9 if one sat on the hard chair by the desk. 😊 The bathroom was large and well equipped with good towels. The bar cum cafeteria was very pleasant, as was the dining room, which served standard solid Parador food.

Ayer celebre allí mis bodas de plata. Soy el tío más detallista y exigente que te puedas tirar a la cara, así que me resulta fácil encontrar los defectos, que paso a enumerar; ninguno. El cóctel en el jardín, absolutamente maravilloso, la cena en el interior excelsa y sabrosa. Además como supieron preservar la intimidad del evento, fue como tener todo el complejo para nosotros solos. Y no me olvido de la fiesta en la sala de baile, brutal. Pero si algo debo de destacar, es a todo el personal que nos atendió ayer. Me han atendido maravillosamente en muchos sitios, pero lo de anoche es otro nivel, el grado de profesionalidad fue admirable, pero es que además la simpatía, el cariño y paciencia mostrada fue inmensa. Gracias Zenit!! Gracias ignacio!! Gracias a todo ese equipazo!!

En fiestas de calahorra día 31 he ido con mi mujer al Ciudad de Calahorra y nos atendieron muy mal. No nos sacaban lo que habíamos pedido y aún encima después de esperar más de media hora, reclamamos a la camareras, y siguieron sin atendernos, pero si sirvieron a varias mesas que llegaron bastante después. Volvemos a reclamar, y las camareras con un trato penoso y sin educación ninguna. Un desastre de servicio, no lo recomiendo y no volveremos más.

The hotel is on the main street, and easy to find. Plenty of on street free parking ( Jan 2022 ). Large room allocated on high floor ( there is a small lift ), with views over the mountains in the distance. Good sized bathroom with shower. Excellent and very informative check in. Hotel is shoe themed, as the town is a large producer of shoes. There is also free access to the municipal spa on request. A good breakfast was also provided.
