Let’s get the good points out of the way first. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful, the location is great for seeing Metz and it has free parking… I booked this hotel for one night without my usual diligence and research, I got what I deserved! After being directed to the local free parking and negotiating the tight entrance ramps I was less than comfortable with the surroundings. It seemed that the car park wasn’t very secure, litter strewn on level -1 and seemingly used as a toilet. This was reinforced by the stairs to ground level which required the holding of breath, it really was that bad. As above, the welcome from staff was great but on exiting the lift to our room on the first floor (106) there was an unpleasant odour. The room was a decent size, a bit sparse, very warm with one portable fan but the real issue was the carpet. Black stains that looked like ground in dirt or gum and other dubious looking stains in several other places. The bathroom was clean but the rail and attachment to hold the flexi shower head was missing from its mountings. The separate toilet was in a small cupboard just inside the door, again it was clean. The entrance lobby had what looked like long-standing cobwebs above head height, I’m guessing that the spiders are permanent guests. The bed was averagely comfortable and the linen clean. The wall paper appeared damp above the skirting boards and was discoloured. It isn’t the cheapest Metz option and really was presented poorly, there isn’t an excuse in a modern city for low standard accommodation like this.

Nous avons été scandalisés en découvrant notre chambre : joints et rideau de douche crasseux, ventilation de la salle de douche qui ne fonctionne pas, moquette, rideaux, et cadre de lit présentant des taches, trous dans la porte de la salle de bains, plinthes arrachées, un seul bloc de 3 prises électriques dans la chambre, dont aucune ne fonctionne (signalé à la réceptionniste, qui n’avait pas l’air surprise ; mais quid du chargement des téléphones portables ?), lampe de chevet sans ampoule. Les locaux communs n’étaient pas plus avenants, avec notamment : du mobilier dégradé, et la lumière qui ne fonctionne pas dans les couloirs. Cet établissement souffre d'un manque d'entretien flagrant. Je ne recommande pas.

Tout était parfait et au top 👌 Excellent accueil, personnel très sympathique, ménage également Literie parfaite Très bien mangé au restaurant de l’hôtel Nous avons passé un excellent week-end en famille 😃 Nous reviendrons sans hésitation 😛 Encore merci 😋

La première chose dont les travaux rendant inaccessible l'accès à l'hôtel lors de ma venue, mais ça l'hôtel n'y est pour rien. Par contre, quand on appelle pour trouver un conseil pour se garer, la réponse à été ”cherchez dans le quartier”, merci du conseil, je n'y avait pas pensé. Dans les chambre, en tout cas la mienne, on sent bien un petit manque d'entretien, le plan de travail qui bouge, les plaintes dans la salle de bain... Le petit-dejeuner est, ordinaire, : café, viennoiseries, quelques fromages, œufs brouillés et jus de fruit industriels. Ha si, une petite chose, prenez soin de votre personnel de ménage et mettez une brossé dans les toilettes, cela rendra leur travail moins ”desagreable” à cet endroit.

This is a lovely old hotel (above the main door in the stonework it says the royal hotel) an easy walk from the train station. Decor is lovely. There are extra sitting rooms downstairs and self serve tea and coffee is provided. Room was spacious for an Ibis, large bathroom, very comfortable beds and quiet. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, I don't think there were enough staff to cope with the number of guests, everything from food to cutlery kept running out. Loved the yoghurt and fruit but everything else was very carb heavy but that is probably my taste rather than French. My only problem was the house keeping lady. We had asked if we could stay an extra 30/60 minutes so we didnt have to hang around the train station and were told no problem the night before, yet at 1210 there was banging on the door and this angry lady was saying get out you leave, she would not listen to me, possibly a language issue but there was no mistaking the angry face. Maybe she should concentrate on the mouldy bathroom, unfilled soap containers and missing towels before she is rude to guests?

Everything was excellent apart from the signage to enter the car park, due to the one-way system you can't see the sign and so pass it and so have to go all around again. This would be an easy fix I'm sure, and didn't distract from a great stay. Driving a plug-in car it was great to see a charging point that was free to use. On entering the hotel the receptionist was welcoming and efficient, our room was high quality and with plenty of electrical outlets and other items that made our stay comfortable. The location is far enough out to be quiet but a short easy walk to the centre and all the sights. The quality of our afternoon meal and the breakfast were both very good as were all of the staff that we encountered. When visiting Metz I will definitely stay here again.

영어: 거주지는 찾기 쉬웠고 도심에서 그리 멀지 않았지만 매우 붐비는 철도 노선과 측선에서 멀지 않은 곳에 위치해 있었습니다. 체크인은 간단했고 리셉션 직원은 영어로 소통하려고 정말 노력했습니다. 우리는 방과 전용 지하 주차장을 1박에 9유로에 지불했고 주차장으로 가는 것이 얼마나 쉬운지 알고 기뻤습니다. 하지만 조심해야 할 점이 있습니다. 우리는 긴 휠베이스 메르세데스를 타고 있었고 경사로에서 접지되었습니다. 차에 무게가 더 많이 실렸다면 끔찍했을 수도 있습니다. 주차장은 리셉션으로 바로 연결되어 있었고 모든 층으로 가는 엘리베이터가 있었습니다. 지금까지는 괜찮습니다. 방에 들어가자마자 습기가 강한 냄새가 났고 ***********의 사진과는 전혀 다르다는 것을 즉시 알아챘습니다. 얼룩진 벽지로 뒷받침된 페달 통이 있는 아주 작은 간이 주방을 지나 거미줄이 너무 많은 침실로 들어가서 마치 1950년대 공포 영화 세트장 같았습니다. 모서리, 침대 위, 천장 높이에 거미줄이 곳곳에 있었습니다. 메인 조명 갓은 죽은 곤충으로 가득했고 의자 중 하나는 심하게 얼룩져 있었습니다. 문틀의 윗부분은 더러웠고 분명히 이번 세기에는 청소를 하지 않은 것이었습니다. 메인 창문에는 보안 개폐 옵션이 없어서 잠을 자는 동안 목이 베일 위험이 없이는 열 수 없었습니다. 노련한 세계 여행가이자 2등급 외국 숙박 시설에 익숙한 우리는 최대한 활용하고 경험으로 여기기로 했지만, 아내가 재빨리 샤워를 하고 나서 물이 돌처럼 차가워진 것을 보고 참을성이 한계에 도달했습니다. 리셉션에 불평하자 '객실에 개별 물 저장고가 있다'고 하며 '물이 따뜻해지려면 2시간을 기다려야 한다'고 했습니다. 2022년에는 받아들일 수 없었고, 리셉션 담당자가 100유로를 더 내면 객실을 바꿀 수 있다고 제안한 것도 마찬가지였습니다. 크리스마스 마켓 기간 동안 짧은 통보로 메츠 시내 중심가에서 대체 숙박 시설을 찾아야 했기 때문에 우리는 최대한 활용하는 수밖에 없었습니다. ***********는 완전히 쓸모가 없었습니다. 호텔 경영진과 상의하겠다고 했지만 다시 돌아와서 할 수 있는 일이 없다고 말했습니다. 뜨거운 물이 흐르고 있습니다.

Being a Gold Member, I requested a late check-out and it was backfired as if I requested something very extra ordinary! They didn't accept it. For the welcome drink voucher, you can only use it for fruit juice or water (not even for Coca Cola or beer, I asked and they refused to give me Coke or beer with that voucher). I was told that it was the decision of the Hotel Manager. So, the manager at Ibis Metz can change the rules of Accor as to his/her preference. I also wrote an e-mail about my complaint to Accor Headquarters.

이것은 내가 프랑스에서 스웨덴으로 운전하면서 내가 좋아하는 호텔 중 하나입니다. 항상 즐거운 시간을 보내기 위해 외출하고 심지어 저녁에 늦은 저녁 룸 서비스를 제공 할 수있는 사랑스러운 직원, 긴 운전 후 피곤했을 때, 보통 하루 동안 끝났습니다. 그들은 좋은 영어를 구사합니다. 하지만 이 호텔의 최고는 침대입니다!! 내가 나와 함께 한 집을 몰래 들여다 볼 수 있다면 나는 할 것입니다. ;) 보완적인 물과 커피 및 차가있는 넓은 방에있는 매우 편안하고 사랑스러운 푹신한 이불과 베개. 객실은 넓습니다. 내 개와 나는 돌아올 것이다! :)
