Room very small but clean. Shower hard to get into, abuts toilet and sink. If you need to iron there is only an iron and board out in the hallway which is odd. The breakfast was decent. Right by the ferry which is a plus. Front desk help friendly. There are signs asking you to consider not having your room cleaned daily. That’s one of the things I enjoy at a hotel: not having to make my bed, etc. so I requested having the room cleaned.

I can't say enough about this place. First, it's in easy walking distance (10 minutes over cobblestones) of the ferry from Nynashamn. Kalk is located on a charming street beside a small section of the medieval wall that surrounds/surrounded Visby. You can walk out the door and be close to old church ruins and the town center with its many restaurants. And in the morning, you'll enjoy the best free breakfast we had in Sweden, which is saying something. The rooms are comfortable, wonderfully appointed (the tiles are made of Gotland stone with fossils) and the beds terrific. Our room on the second floor had a nice view of the charming narrow streets and houses below. Higher up (and more expensive) rooms have balconies and a view of the water, but we didn't spring for those. The service is terrific. The helpful woman at the front desk helped us arrange a car rental to visit the island of Fârö to the north, which was well worth the trip. The front desk closes after 6:00pm, but it's easy to let yourself in. If you like small, unique hotels, this is an exemplar of one. I still dream about that breakfast.

서비스는 훌륭하고 매우 도움이되는 리셉션 팀이었습니다. 도움이되는 예로, 우리는 오전 6시경에 도착했고 하루를 계획하기 위해 언제 방에 체크인 할 수 있는지 물었습니다. 예상치 못한 대답은 청소 직원이 도착하자마자 먼저 방을 청소할 것이므로 9시 30분경에 체크인할 수 있었습니다. 정책 뒤에 숨는 대신 문제를 해결할 때 중앙에 있는 고객, 놀라운 태도!

개가 있다면 Visby를 방문하는 경우 예약 할 호텔입니다! 우리가 도착했을 때 우리는 개 침대, 담요, 수건, 음식 그릇 및 두 가지 간식, 두 개의 똥 가방 및 환영 편지가있는 작은 가방을 발견했습니다! 매우 좋은 느낌! 그냥 좋아! 직원들은 모두 매우 친절했습니다.

I had the best time hanging in the cutest suite. I love the decorations and having a loft. It was like stepping back in time. You'll see in the Gotland museum that the hotel is part of history. There is a full kitchen which is great. Especially having a fridge and larger freezer. Breakfast has what you need. It's basic and I enjoyed it. Staff is extremely friendly and personable. The WIFI is spotty but be patient. It's a Viking island. Not a fan of the ”wet shower” but that is a Sweden thing. Most of my hotels over the years have them. Thank you to everyone who made my first 5 days in Sweden this year truly special. 💗
