We have been going to the Residence Inn in Hartford for more than a decade. Up until now, we have found the hotel to be a perfect place for a night or two. While the Marriott staff was friendly and welcoming, our stay this past weekend was disappointing due to the condition of the room. From cracks in the bathroom tiles, to worn out carpet and furniture, chips and scrapes most everywhere including a two-inch hole in one wall and a popped-up ceiling tile with a cut wire tangling down near the shower head, what used to be a newly renovated landmark hotel in 2014, has become saddle sore, weary and scruffy. Even the pamphlet for the Marriott Bonvoy Card was a sign of neglect. It is really a shame since most of what we noted are cosmetic issues. With nightly rates getting near $400.00 a night, there is no value left in staying in this old shoe. We hope that an overdue renovation is the works. In the meantime, we will look elsewhere when we head for Hartford.

We paid over 500 for one night for a room with two queen beds. Parking was an additional $19. Room was just OK. A family member paid the same for a room with two double beds that was filthy and smelly and near construction in the building. Their room was so horrible, they decided to leave and drive over 4 hours to go home instead. We expected more from Hilton. We couldn't even get a cup of coffee unless we paid $25 for breakfast!

Should have checked out the reviews prior to booking this hotel for a two-night stay. We pulled up to the hotel just as two police cars and an ambulance were driving into the convenience store across the street. Not wanting to stick around to find out what was going on, we drove south, out of the downtown area, to a rundown Holiday Inn Express there. Called Candlewood to cancel and told them why—they still kept the $300 representing one night’s stay. No plans to ever return to Hartford.

일부 장단점 넓은 객실(풀아웃 소파가 있는 더블 퀸 스위트에 숙박). 친절한 직원. 훌륭한 아침 식사. 전반적으로 시설과 방은 매우 깨끗했습니다. 비용 대비 좋은 가치. 시설은 안전하다고 느꼈습니다. 보안은 밤에 각 줄을 천천히 주차장을 통과했습니다 (내가 본 두 번). 그러나 수영장은 역겹습니다. 물은 바닥 단계를 볼 수 없을 정도로 안개가 자욱했습니다. 수영장에는 머리카락 몇 덩어리가 떠 있었고 빨대는있었습니다. (아이들과 함께 특별히 수영장이 있는 곳으로 여행을 갔기 때문에 큰 부끄러움.) 방 자체는 크지만 답답하고 곰팡이 냄새가 났습니다. 창문이 열리지 않았기 때문에 환기를 할 방법이 없었습니다. 냄새는 한밤중에 몇 번 나를 깨울 만큼 강했습니다. 주차장과 쓰레기통의 전망은 원하는 것을 남기지만 쉴 곳을 찾는 것만으로도 큰 문제는 없습니다. 이상한 숫자가 있는 객실은 예쁜 건물의 전망을 제공합니다.

하트퍼드 중심에 자리한 트레블 인 모텔에 머무실 경우 차로 5분 정도 이동하면 엑스엘 센터 및 엑피니티 극장에 가실 수 있습니다. 이 모텔에서 리버사이드 파크까지는 1.4km 떨어져 있으며, 2.2km 거리에는 던킨 도너츠 파크도 있습니다. 정원 전망을 감상하고 무료 무선 인터넷 및 TV(공용 구역) 등의 편의 시설/서비스를 이용하실 수 있습니다. 대표적인 편의 시설과 서비스로는 24시간 운영되는 프런트 데스크, 세탁 시설, ATM/은행 서비스 등이 있습니다. 시설 내에서 무료 셀프 주차 이용이 가능합니다. 에어컨이 설치된 109개의 객실에는 LCD TV도 갖추어져 있어 편하게 머무실 수 있습니다. 무료 무선 인터넷을 이용하실 수 있으며 케이블 채널 프로그램도 구비되어 있어 지루하지 않게 시간을 보내실 수 있습니다. 샤워기가 달린 욕조 시설을 갖춘 욕실이 마련되어 있습니다. 편의 시설/서비스로는 무료 시내 통화 서비스가 지원되는 전화 등이 있으며 객실 정돈 서비스는 매일 제공됩니다.

I booked through Priceline and the troubles were never ending. The room doesn't have the air conditioning on and the refrigerator in the room is unplugged. The wifi doesn't work, no matter how much I tried I had to use my phone as a hotspot as I couldn't even check email. They say free wifi but they mean no actual internet access. There are many holes and threadbare sections of the blankets, sheets, and pillowcases. Many pictures. The mattresses are over 20 years old and they feel terrible. Most hotels don't keep mattresses half this long, and no reputable establishment, even a budget one, would keep them this long. The toilet leaks polluted water from the basin and when you flush it, this is not potable water from the supply lines but instead from human waste infused water. Children living in the subsidized housing behind the motel fire off fireworks (not in July). They also have loud music playing and all sorts of unsupervised activity of young children well into 11PM at night. The grounds have trash throughout the walkways, I found used condoms and hypodermic needles on the premises. Pictures are provided for some of this. The AC smells like mildew and cigarette smoke, even in a non-smoking room. The smell sticks on you and your clothing so when you leave this motel you still wreak of it. My feet turned black walking on the floor (even after housekeeping came through), and later my socks turned black. You don't want to know what bodily fluid stains I found when I took out my black light on first check in. This entire motel runs on a philosophy that there is no corner they will not cut to save some money. Everything I have reported above shows lack of proper maintenance, leaving deteriorated materials that need replacement in place instead of repairing them. I interacted with the management/owners on a limited basis and they have the mindset the customer is an inconvenience and anything they promised is negotiable as long as they can save money by not actually providing it. Don't stay here, even if they offer you an hourly rate. If you insist on staying here then 1) bring your own linens and mattress; 2) wear boots at all times, even in the shower to avoid the dirty floors and the leaking toilet water; 3) try not to breath the air as it smells of mildew and cigarettes; 4) don't expect any of the included items - anything you get is a stroke of luck.
