Couldn’t fault the check in by the friendly efficient staff member but after following the directions we found the lift didn’t work, after wandering aimlessly along corridors trying to find one that would we ended back up at reception, seems we needed to scan the key card to get the lift to work, yes there is a small sign indicating this but not having come across this before we just didn’t read any of the signage in the lift, perhaps the receptionist could have pointed out this procedure for new guests. The room was clean and tidy with everything you would expect except semi skimmed milk and perhaps some decaf tea bags, the bed was very comfortable but unfortunately we were awoken at 5.45 am with what sounded like a delivery wagon outside. Decided on an early shower but the bathroom was very cold due to no form of heating whatsoever and cold towels ! On a plus side the breakfast was excellent and couldn’t be faulted, even with the problems mentioned we enjoyed our break and hope to return again soon.
