The Temple gate is a lovely hotel. It’s in a great location, less than 1 minute to the centre of town. The hotel was spotless, the food was great and the staff were extremely friendly and very efficient and there was also plenty of staff. The only let down was the room, it was bland and very standard. I expected it to be better for a 4 star hotel. If the rooms were decorated to be as nice as the rest of the hotel I would definitely stay there again.

We were a large group of 25 people staying for 5 nights and from beginning to end, we were treated with courtesy, kindness and helpfulness. We had breakfast and inner there each day and the menu was varied accordingly. The quality of the food was consistently excellent. The bedrooms were spotless and beautifully serviced each day. But it was the staff that really stood out. Every one of them (without exception) were friendly and helpful but particular mention has to be given to Sinead on reception in this regard.

This is a lovely hotel.Our room and shower unit was exactly as we requested.The food in both the bar and TownHall restaurant was excellent.We had a cooked breakfast each morning which was very good.The staff were very helpful and always polite and friendly.No Television in the bar or lounge which ensures a great buzz around the bar area.
