Our arrival was nothing short of amazing! We were warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink, a beautiful shell mala, and a soothing sandalwood bindi. The traditional dance made us feel so special and added a magical touch to the experience. The room offered a stunning ocean and harbor view, where we could admire majestic ships like the Indian Coastal Guards and Shreyas. The lunch and breakfast were delightful, and the sunset cruise was truly a highlight. During the cruise, we enjoyed sightseeing landmarks like Willingdon Island, Bolgatty, Vypin Island with its iconic fishing nets, the water metro, Aspin Wall, Mattancherry, the bridge, and Taj’s Gundu Island. The cruise ended on a beautiful note with a traditional dance performance and a serene lamp-lighting ceremony. Our evening was elevated further by a mesmerizing Kuchipudi performance. The dancer’s expressions were simply breathtaking! A special surprise awaited us in our room – balloons and a cake thoughtfully arranged by the Taj staff to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was such a touching and memorable gesture! I also have shared detailed feedback in the note provided in the room. Totally wonderful stay at Ballard Bungalow. It is a beautiful old Dutch Colonial building. Absolutely perfect location .The owner Marcus is charming, helpful , very knowledgeable and all the activities and transport he arranged for us was efficient and the right price. Glorious large heritage type rooms. Good Wi Fi, Air Con, Hot Water, Breakfast. The double rooms have huge beds that can be split to make singles if required. Just great value for money and ”location location” . Would not hesitate to book again or recommend to friends.
