AAli BWe booked for a baseball tournament the weekend of May 19th and then our team decided not to go. I called to cancel (ahead of the last day to cancel without penalties) instead of logging into our account to cancel and thought everything was taken care of. We had used points to book and never received the credit back. Granted, I didn't follow up and didn't get a cancellation number. Contacted Hilton and initially they were helpful and escalated my issue. When I didn't hear back, I contacted again. Within a couple of days they responded that they had contacted the hotel and the hotel stated we had checked in. Which we didn't, no one from our team made the trip and they should have been able to see that there were multiple cancellations. But since I failed to notate the cancellation number after the phone call to the hotel to cancel...we lost our points. As Diamond members, our history of stays should speak something to our loyalty to Hilton. We've never had this issue before, completely frustrated and disappointed with the experience.
