I stayed at Byron Hotel for 2 nights while on business. My usual hotel in Lerici is Hotel Florida, but they were full. The Byron looks very new and the style is very zen and spa like with light colors and art work throughout. My room did not have a sea view, but did have a large outside area with seating and umbrella. What I liked: - Good size room - Best bed and pillows I've ever experienced in Italy - very comfortable and the pillows are NOT flat like I see a lot - Huge TV with many channels and you can plug in a streaming box and the remote has the ability to change sources - Reliable strong WiFi - No noise room to room or from outside, but some modest noise from hallway when housekeeping is doing their rounds - Safe - Lots of storage space - Real telephone in the room - Beautiful bathroom and shower with really nice amenities - Nice breakfast / dining room with view - Breakfast was very good with lots of selection - I had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was very good To improve - The mini-fridge did not get cold at all even when turned all the way to maximum cold. Staff did look at it and advised me they were having trouble with that model of fridge. Hopefully they will fix it - The air conditioning was tricky to understand how to set. I think it would be helpful to have a small instruction card nearby TIPS - In busy July time, I had to park my car in the public parking beside Hotel Florida, some 300 meters + away. Staff put on my bill, 2 cards @ 7 euro each to put on the car dash, which allowed me to leave my car in the public parking for 48 hours - For the air con, you can only vary the temperature a few degrees around a ZERO set point. Zero set point = around 22 degrees. - There is an elevator - You can rent beach chairs and loan (with deposit) beach towels
