We prepaid for a room for two nights to visit our daughter at UW. I only chose this cinderblock hole because our prefered hotels were booked by people attending the home game. Our last visit, the tub and toilet were broken, but we booked late and were stuck. When I arrived, a smoker sat in front of the no-smoking sign by the lobby doors. When I returned, the clerk refused me admittance, claiming I had been coughing and sneezing non-stop, and would contaminate the place. (I blew my nose once upon entry due to the heavy cigarette smoke by the door, and she sprayed disinfectant in the air on her side of the glass partition.) The insulting manager backed her despite the fact that I exhibited no symptoms during the entire discussion. I had to spend 1.5 hours on the phone to get my money back (in a couple weeks) WHEN THEY BREACHED THE CONTRACT. Motel 6 corporate refused to migrate my reservation to the other hotel of the same name in the city. By then, finding a decent hotel for under twice the price was impossible. Instead, I drove 4.5 hours back home in the rain. I had never been treated this shabbily in any hotel. Don't risk the abuse for a place this bad.
