On this recent trip we stayed in 8 different hotels. Our experience at the Holiday Inn was good, but I decided I was going to write a review with things I want to know if I am deciding where to stay. PROS: *We felt very safe here and felt that the parking lot was safe as well. *They accepted two packages from Amazon for us, with a smile. *A lovely young women checked us in. Friendly and made us feel welcome. *It was quiet, EXCEPT one evening when loud music came from the building near the hotel. *Our air conditioner rattled loudly the first night, but we let them know that morning and when we got back the cover had been put on correctly and it was much better. CONS: *It had a tiny ironing board. Not a big deal as I don't need an iron often on vacation. it would be nice to have a regular size for stability and longer clothes. *The safe was at the bottom of the closet. Ok for us, but difficult for older people who can't bend down and punch in the numbers. *The breakfast was just ok, a little bland. *The room is very sparsely furnished. A good thing for more room, but not exactly homey. Overall, we were happy. A very short drive away is the Opry Mills Mall with a bus stop that takes you right to downtown Nashville. We parked our car at the mall and for two dollars a ride (yes, they take cash as long as it is the exact amount.) we avoided the traffic. The Grand Ole Opry was a quick, easy few minutes away and even though we had paid for parking for our show we opted to park across the street at the mall and walk over. Easy.

Chose this hotel since I usually stay at Holiday Inn properties and it was close to the airport. Hotel is in the midst of construction but the rates were not discounted accordingly. Room had new carpet and tile but the rest was old and worn out. My room had wrinkled sheets as if they weren't changed. I showed the manager the room and he offered a switch to another room but I just slept on top of the bed. All the rooms were under repair so I doubt one was better than the other. Also, a big roach ran across the floor. I feel the hotel owner should drop the rate dramatically to compensate for the mess of a renovation. The rate was $154 a night and over $170 with taxes. I was also woken up at 8AM on Saturday with hammering and sawing outside my door. I couldn't wait to leave. Maybe once the renovations are done it will be okay, but the building and the area really don't live up to the Holiday Inn Express brand.

Horrible front desk. We'd been driving for 10 hours. I made a reservation a couple hours before we arrived for $130. Upon arriving, the front desk clerk came out looking irritated. She said she hadn't received any reservations. When I asked if they had availability she said it was $200. Negative energy poured off this woman. I handed her my fiancé's credit card and she said she couldn't take it. So my fiancé had to come in from outside. She handed us our keys and I told her I had a service animal and then she became upset and said they don't allow pets. Wanted to know what service she provided. And then said they just had a problem like this and she would have to call her manager. I told her service animals can go where ever their owners go and I was happy to show her the paperwork. She then said I SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER BEFORE SHE BOOKED THE ROOM AND SHE RESERVED THE RIGHT TO CANCEL OUR RESERVATION IF SHE WANTED TO. I asked her if she was aware she was discriminating because I had a service animal and was threatening to cancel. She then went off on a rant. Handed the key cards to my fiancé and refused to acknowledge me. Screw this place. I've been an IHG member for ten years and I think they just let a customer.

Amazing stay one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time, comfy beds, a lot to do around it. Great gym and amazing pool. Great place to stay with friends or family. I fully recommend this hotel.
