Great Hotel, perfect location, minutes from the centre, yards from a wonderful garden. Typical Italian B&B hotel, we were lucky to upgrade to a really nice room with fantastic views over the bay. Very helpful staff, clean and tidy, continental breakfast, loads of pastries and cake, and coffee. If we had believed some of the reviews we would not have booked, but we took a chance and we were not disappointed, thanks to all at the Hotel Elios.

Disappointing to say the least :( we was looking forward to this visit, and straight of the bat was let down, the place is so run down and old, definitely need a refurb tried not to let this ruin our stay as we had seen photos and other reviews so was aware just not to this extent. anyway! we was in the main hotel on level 1, map given was very confusing at first, told us the times of food eating hours and where they would be, tell me why every day it took us a 15 minute journey to get from our hotel to the dining hall? we had to go to a completely different building at the top of the mountain for every single meal by the out door life which took forever and was so hot it was unpleasant. there was occasionally food in the same building we was staying but it was manager’s option if it was open or not so you are running around to see if the one closer to you is open to realise it isn’t and have to go the other, (it was open once in 7 days for us). we ate out most days despite paying all inclusive as the food was horrendous most days, the drinks were terrible and you had to do it your self, no service at all but! we got speaking to this family and they said when they arrived the first few days there was service and there was bar men making drinks !! so why did this change? we have no idea but none of the drinks was the “real” brands they said they were, coca cola etc. again pool situation same again 15 minute journey, yes there is 2 pools on each divide of hotel but the side we was on the pool was tiny and full of kids and right next to the kids club so was just full of kids not being watched by there parents. strange one , had to pay 5 euros per day, per person, to use the pools???? this on really confused me !! in all honesty there’s probably much worse i can say but at this point im bored and gutted that this hotel was so rubbish

The service was quite poor : It rained one evening and our bath towels were on the balcony drying but got extremely wet from the rain. The next morning when I asked if I could have 2 dry towels as mine were wet, they refused and said they didn't have any to spare. Reminded me of the Seinfeld episode when Elaine wouldn't share her toilet paper. The person who refused to give me 2 bath towels in exchange for my dripping wet ones was the House Keeping Supervisor. For a 4 star hotel, their staff are pretty much in the 2 star category. I'd think before booking even though the photos look inviting.

The hotel was great, first impressions it was a steep walk up (not ideal in wheelchair or buggy) the hotel seemed a bit dated. Staff very friendly. I think it would help if the rugs on ground floor would be gotten rid of. They looked so old and not cleaned. Our room was on 4th floor, balcony facing the seafront. It was lovely. The room is spacious, bathroom was a good size and balcony was also a good size. The tv (which we watched for 30 min throughout our stay) was very small - I can only describe it as the size of my work computer screen. This didn't bother us as like I mentioned we hardly used it. Pool was good. We saw it being cleaned one afternoon which is good to know. Enough sun loungers. Breakfast was standard buffet style. The coffee machine was out of use one morning and one of the staff was making coffee from a different machine and bringing it over which was very nice! Short walk to free beach (5 mins). A bit of a further walk (15 mins) in opposite direction to cable car to go into the main city. further 10 mins away is access to Isola Bella. Nice quiet hotel. Would recommend.

We absolutely loved this place and can't wait to return! The 2 bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean, bright and modern, and had all the comforts of home, plus an incredible ocean sunset view from the balcony. We loved the spacious, well equipped kitchen, the dining area with the ocean view, and the comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked great. Vuelle Residence is right across the street from the beach and easy walking distance from many restaurants, groceries, the train station, and more. We wish we had stayed longer; this would be the perfect home base for day trips by train to explore the northern coast of Sicily. You can also explore by car, as garage parking is included just a short walk away. Capo D'Orlando is an easygoing beachfront town with plenty of shops, scenery, and restaurants to enjoy. We also visited more bustling locations but loved the friendly, welcoming, relaxed pace here. Domenica and the rest of the staff are responsive, helpful, and kind, and we hope we can come back soon!
