We were at the Jaz Amara Hotel in Marsa Alam for the first time. It is an incredibly beautiful, elegant and stylish hotel. The hotel is located on a beach with sand cleaned of stones. The sand is full of shells, tiny crabs and remnants of the reef. Free sunbeds and umbrellas are available on the beach for hotel guests. Due to the fact that our stay was at the turn of January/February 2025, it was quite windy, so windbreaks were available on the beach. There is also a pier on the beach, you can walk there, and also snorkel from the pier, swimming out immediately near the coral reef. The hotel rooms are modern, well-designed and very clean. We had a room with access to a shared pool for 4 rooms. The pool, like the rooms, was cleaned every day. The water in the pool is fresh, heated, so the children spent a lot of time there. The hotel restaurants require special attention. There are also a la carte restaurants. A huge selection of dishes was offered every day. Everything was very fresh. A huge selection of meat dishes, but there was also fish and seafood. Lots of vegetables, salads, baked vegetables, Egyptian spices and dishes (e.g. Baba ganush! I highly recommend it!) All the names of the dishes were given in several languages, including Polish, which I have never encountered before. It is very convenient and helpful. I would like to mention the desserts separately, of which there were always a lot and they were prepared with great heart! A discovery for me was the traditional Egyptian dessert Kunafa, I even found the recipe on the internet! Incredibly delicate baked cake (thin threads) with honey and ricota cheese inside!!! Cleanliness in the hotel at a high level! The cleaning people do their job quickly and discreetly. Gardeners are a separate topic, the greenery on the hotel premises is well-groomed and beautifully arranged. A lot of work! Despite the low season at the hotel, the animators were constantly on the move and conducted a lot of exercises, games and fun: stretching, yoga, aqua aerobics, water polo, volleyball, darts, etc. There is also a gym, SPA, pharmacy and shops. A taxi driver also offers his services. The hotel has a diving center Scuba world divers. The prices are quite high, but the divers are well prepared. Each dive is preceded by an incredibly detailed training. In our case, the training and diving were led by a lady from Europe, she patiently helped our 13-year-old son dive, despite his initial resistance. And underwater she allowed him to swim independently, once he got used to it. We recommend this center, it is safe and they devote a lot of time to their clients! In general, I recommend staying at the hotel to anyone looking for peace and relaxation in luxurious conditions, relatively close (4 h flight) with great weather in winter, approx. 25 °C! I will also add that the wi-fi is quite good throughout the hotel.
