An excellent bed and breakfast venue. The staff could not do more for you. The hotel is very clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There was as much free tea and coffee in the bedrooms as u wanted. There was a kitchen on the landing u could use the iron there and put fresh milk in the fridge, make a small snack. Breakfast was very good. Good quality ingredients. Excellent service. My daughter is gluten free and the staff were so helpful and had four cereals maybe more to choose from gluten free bread and sausages. The breakfast was better than any hotel for our daughter. This is a brilliant place stay if u are going to a function at the South Causey Inn, it is literally a six minute walk from the South Causy Inn, it was perfect I would highly recommend the Ball Alley excellent value for money really friendly helpful staff/ owner. WiFi was good.

The kitchen had a fridge, hob, oven, microwave, fridge and sink. The bed was comfortable and the shower / bathroom was generally fine. The hotel was quiet and it had a gym for which a £5 day pass could be purchased. It was very convenient for the Causey Inn wedding venue. There was no WiFi because the hotel had exceed its data allowance. Also mobile phone reception was poor. The TV in the bedroom didn't work as the aerial port on the TV was broken so the aerial had been disconnected. However, there was a working TV in the kitchen / lounge area. The oven had no baking trays and the shelves weren't clean. The room was in need of TLC and there was a hole in the bedroom door where a previous lock or handle had been removed. There was no shaver / electric tooth brush charging point. The adjacent restaurant didn't serve food in the evening because they didn't have a chef.

We visited for the couples dining experience. Having never been to the hotel before, we weren’t sure what to expect but were greeted with smiles and deception. Once checked in, we were directed to our room. It was a little bit of a rabbit warren to try and get to it, but we did find our room thanks to the good signage on the corridors. We had red wine with chocolates in our room as part of the package. The bed was comfortable and the shower and bath were lovely. We were eating in the Staples restaurant which you had to access by going outside. Thankfully it wasn’t raining.. We were initially seated with a bench seating, but that was really high up so we asked to move and we were moved to a different table. The food was delicious and service good. Once we had paid for our food and drinks, we went through to the bar to have a couple of cocktails. Breakfast the next day was served in the same place. A buffet style breakfast and everything you could ask for. Main breakfast meals Were taken to order and brought straight to the table. We would definitely stay here again.
