A friendly welcome from the landlord and a helpful waitress made us at home. Our large main meals were very tasty; succulent full rack of ribs and a home made crispy battered fish mains were delicious and generous portions. Excellent value. Highly recommended

Just happened across the Trout Inn when looking for somewhere other than the shockingly awful lake country hotels hotel to have dinner. And how happy we are we did! Amazing staff and atmosphere with fabulous food and best of all great value for money. Would definitely come again and recommend.

Stayed at the trout inn for two nights whilst attending the Royal Welsh show. Very warm and friendly welcome from Dave the proprietor and wife Heather. First morning breakfast was packed as we had to leave early, this lasted us all day. The sit down full Welsh breakfast is one of the best I have had. Evening meals were varied and our meals, Ribeye steak first night and lamb shank second night were very well prepared and reasonably priced. Wish Dave and Heather good luck in their future ventures and thanks for a very nice stay

We were recommended this lovely pub and we weren't disappointed. Lovely Sunday lunch with more than enough on the plate. Individual dishes of piping hot veg and your own jug of gravy - nice touches. A long list of desserts to choose from, all home made and delicious! Clean and friendly with a good amount of space between the tables. Looking forward to returning to try the evening menu.
