Upon arrival, we had difficulty finding the entrance to the parking lot, so we finally decided to get out of the car and go directly to the reception. The manager said my reservation wasn’t in their system and that it was too late for a check-in anyway. It was 2 a.m. I explained that I had already paid through Booking and asked if I could get a room anyway, but he informed me the hotel was full. Then, just after that, he said the hotel wasn’t full and that my reservation was okay, without any further explanation. He was patronizing both me and the employee next to him. Afterward, I went back to my car, entered the parking lot on level minus 2, and got all the bags out of the car. When I reached the elevator, my card didn’t work to activate it. I tried many times, then decided to leave my bags and walk up the stairs. After two levels, I still needed the card to open the door to the lobby, but it wasn’t working. So, I went back down to level minus 2, found another way out of the parking lot on foot, and returned to the reception to inform them of the problem. They tried the elevator themselves, still thinking I was the issue, but then realized the elevator wasn’t functional. They directed me to use the other one, exiting outside of the building. When I finally reached the lobby, the manager immediately demanded an additional fee I wasn't aware of, instead of apologizing for the issues I'd faced. Another guest eventually called the elevator for me, so I didn’t get the chance to try my card again. When I got to the room, the card still wasn’t activated. I went back down to reception, where they reactivated the card. After that, I was able to open the door to my room. However, the next morning, just eight hours later, my cards were deactivated again. Even though the elevator looks old from the outside, it’s brand new inside—brand new, but seemingly untested. The hallway smells like a hospital. Everything feels cold. In the room, it smells like a construction site—you can even smell the concrete. The room is clean though. The temperature in the room was very low, so I tried to set a higher temperature on the controller, but it didn’t change anything. I then decided to switch it off, but it kept running. In the middle of the night, it was below 20°C in the room, and there was nothing I could do. I ended up putting a T-shirt in front of the airflow. When I woke up, I called reception to explain the problem, and they told me, “If you’ve tried everything and it doesn’t work, just open the windows.” Once a week, housekeeping comes to clean the room. When the lady came, she was very nice. I tipped her 5€ before leaving the room, but she didn’t empty the coffee machine or remove the old capsule, which I had to do myself later because the machine was full. Additionally, the bed was not made. She asked if she should change the sheets, and I said no, just to make the bed, but she didn’t do that either.
