- Price 5/5: Reasonably priced for the standard of the room. - Room 4/5: Comfortable bed, clean, garden view and most important good air conditioning in super hot Kanchanaburi. Amenities: Toiletries, fridge, 2 complimentary water bottles (any more you need to pay 10-20THB), TV (all Thai channels), very comfy bed. What could be improved: Table and chairs we brought in from the verandah so we could eat in the air conditioned room. Kettle, spoons, coffee, cups in the room would have been great too! There is complimentary coffee / tea near the registration counter, so you need to get out of the room (early birds - bit dark as the counter is closed) . The walls are a little thin, and we were lucky our neighbours were quiet, not drunk and probably as tired as we were. The garden is very pretty! -En suite shower 4.5/5: Good space for shower, toilet and sink, enough for a wheelchair. More towel rails would be good. Clean! - Service 4/5: All staff - All friendly but you may need google translator too ask more complex questions. Breakfast offered was a little late 8.00 am (choices: Pad thai etc). The train back to Bangkok is 7.05 am and 3.15 pm. So, we skipped breakfast to save some time. Heard the breakfast is nice, so early breakfast/take away e.g. 6.00/6.30 am would be great! - Location 4.5/5: 5-6 min walk to Kanchanaburi train station and the night market, so convenient for food and transport back to Bangkok. But its' still a distance to River Kwai bridge (30-40 min walk). Taking the train or song teows near the train station would be more practical than walking in the searing heat.
