내 친구와 나는 좋은 직원, 좋은 아침 식사, 거실, 멋진 샤워 시설, 주차장을 갖춘 이 매우 아늑한 호스텔에 모두 놀랐습니다. 방은 아름다운 창문이 있는 이전 예배당에 있습니다. 그리고 소문에 자쿠지가 온다는 소문이 있습니다! :)

I visited the clink I lar hostel with two of my friends in February 2024. Now the staff was really friendly and lovely and the location was great. However, I was in a mixed room (with mostly men) because we were a group of 2 girls and one guy and the room was disgusting. There was absolutely no ventilation, windows didn’t open and there was no air conditioning so the room stank of body odour and sweat! It was very unpleasant… The bed layout was also really strange, two of the bunk bed sets, the ones at the corner of the room were sort of connected which meant that the man sleeping in the bed next to mine could just move his curtain and look into my bed, which he did and made me feel really uncomfortable. Other than that during our stay the kitchen was out of order which was also incredibly inconvenient because Dublin is so expensive. So in conclusion I would not really recommend if you’re a woman/queer person unless you stay in a private room or woman only room.

Hostels around the world need to take note of what a real hostel is — and that's Jacobs Inn Hostel in Dublin. Located in the center of Dublin and easy to locate, you're greeted with friendly, warm staff who can help you with anything you need. Advice on landmarks, restaurants, events, they have an answer. The commons area is packed full of people working, socializing or just simply relaxing. Music is not too loud so communicating and working is made easy. It's very atmospheric and it's a great place to make new friends on your travels. It's amazing decorated and their bar/dining area is incredible. Breakfast is served and you're offered a good variety to choose from. The rooms, or pods, are clean, well-maintained and the bathrooms are neat. You're afforded privacy in a modern fashion.

Il mio volo ha subito dei ritardi e ho cercato di avvisare la struttura che sarei arrivata dopo l'orario di chiusura della reception (le 18:00). Il numero di telefono fornito sulla prenotazione era sbagliato, quello sul loro sito era un call center e non rispondeva nessuno, e non ho ricevuto da loro nessuna email di istruzioni. Sono arrivata a mezzanotte e... SORPRESA: ero chiusa fuori! Per fortuna ho incontrato per caso una ragazza che alloggiava li e stava rientrando e quindi mi ha fatta entrare per stare al caldo. Continuo a chiamare senza ricevere risposta per almeno un'altra ora. Alla fine mi sono accomodata sul divano del soggiorno a dormire senza coperte, ma sempre meglio di dormire in strada o dover cercare una nuova struttura in piena notte. Il giorno dopo hanno ammesso che il numero di telefono era sbagliato, si sono scusati e alla fine mi hanno dato la stanza per cui avevo pagato. Hanno fornito la prova di aver inviato l'e-mail di istruzioni, ma non l'ho mai ricevuta (avevo controllato anche se fosse in spam, e niente), altrimenti avrei dormito sul divano perche ne avevo voglia??? Lo stesso giorno è successa la stessa cosa a un ragazzo che come me non ha ricevuto nessuna email che loro dicono di aver inviato. Magari avevano dei problemi nei loro sistemi quel giorno? Eppure no, è colpa nostra perchè... Sorpresa finale... Pur avendo ammesso che il numero di telefono era sbagliato non hanno voluto rimborsarmi la notte che ho pagato e per la quale non ho ricevuto il servizio acquistato, rischiando anche di dover dormire fuori o spendere altri soldi per una nuova sistemazione. Fortunatamente hotels.com mi ha fornito un piccolo buono sconto. Grazie Hostel.com! Voi invece siete dei veri ladri disonesti, tenetevi pure quei 36 euro!

GROUPS BEWARE of strick/completely unfair cancelation policies. If your flight gets canceled or you are unable to travel, you'll loose ALL the amount paid!!! No credit for next stay, discount, or whatever. You snooze, you loose. As a school, we had booked rooms to accomodate a total of 40 students and teachers, for a whole week. Unfortunatelly we were unable to board our flight and had to pospone the trip to some weeks later from the original date. There simply were no available flights sooner for such a large group in the same airline company. We explained the situation to the hostel but they were simply uncompromising. We did not ask for a refund and were willing to loose some of the money paid for the first nights. All we wanted was that some credit could be directed to the new dates, in order to reduce our losses a bit. We did not expect that the management would be completely unwilling to help, charging us for the whole stay, INCLUDING the meals we did not have. We travel around the world with our students and we look for partners we can rely on, and that are willing to help us, when we are abroad. This was simply not the case, quite the opposite. If you are traveling with a large group, for a long stay, with a quite an expensive bill, check your booking conditions twice, make sure your flight does not get canceled or you'll loose it all.

Clean, Helpful and welcoming. We arrived in Dublin needing accommodation as our Airb&b was filthy and we walked away from it. We found this hotel and right from the moment we walked in we were happy with how we were welcomed. The rooms are basic but comfortable and have the usual necessities to refresh you. The main thing was they were clean. Our rooms were above the pub and although you could hear the music once the time came for that to stop it was quiet. This isn’t maybe what you would want but the rooms to the rear of the hotel would be quieter. The staff cleaned the rooms each day and even replaced sheets if required. The entrance is managed 24/7 which was god to know. The reception staff were so helpful giving good advice on places of interest. They can also provide you with discount codes for some of the bus tours going round the city. Although there is no parking attached to the property you can offload outside and there are two recommended car parks 5 minutes away. We took the car to one of these and left it for the duration of our stay. Upon leaving the reception will provide you with a ticket which discounts your parking. We mostly are out. The attached pub next door( which is owned by the same owners as the hotel) serves cracking food. We had breakfast the three mornings we were there and for 10 euros was very happy. You have the option of the usual cereal, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Would highly recommend the Irish cooked breakfast ( bacon, sausages, hash browns, white pudding, beans and toast). You can also try some Guinness bread which is made on site and is really good. For me I would not hesitate to come back here to make it a base for future visits to the city. You are fairly central and are only 5 mins away from the spire and about 10 mins from temple bar. Saying that you wouldn’t need to go there as there are some great pubs in the vicinity of the hotel and some lovely places to eat also. I can’t thank the staff enough for rescuing our stay in Dublin. For what we've paid for this place, we would have been much better off booking a hostel or actually sleeping on the roadside. Let's go to a popular booking site and read what this hotel advertises, shall we? It advertises: ”Luggage Storage available” - Maybe they should change it to PAID luggage storage available. For the experience we had, paying them MORE money to hold our luggage was the icing on the turd cake. ”The hotel features a popular nightclub, which operates 7 nights a week.” - More honest advertising would be, that this glorified hostel happens to be next to a nightclub, which operates 7 nights a week, up till 4 am. You will enjoy the benefits of having a band playing for you in the room. Also the ambience of drunken people singing along until four. Nothing more relaxing than that after a whole day of walking around Dublin. I couldn't think of a better way to unwind. But hold up, knowing full well that the noise gets up to 90dB in the room until 4am (Or might have been 2am, or 3am, sleep deprivation does that to you) we have taken amazing steps to protect our visitors who pay quite a lot for a room. Do we have soundproofing, double-glazed windows, or heck, windows that actually close? NO OF COURSE NOT WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? We provide earplugs!! Problem solved :D Another thing to note: Hot water? What are we, the Ritz?? If you think I exaggerate, go ahead and spend hundreds of euros and find out for yourself. RUN. RUN as far and fast as you can. Unless you don't mind total discomfort or are severely hard of hearing in both ears.
