We stayed in Motel 6, Hollywood from 2 June to 6 June 2023. This hotel is only about 100 mts away from Hollywood Blvd and the famous Walk of Fame. It’s about 5-10 minutes' walk from a variety of attractions including Dolby Theatre, TCL Theatre, Hollywood Wax Museum and various other museums like Guinness Museum, Hollywood Museum, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Capitol Records Building, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Death Museum etc. Universal Studios Hollywood is 3 miles away. Reception staff was not at all polite and they just did their duty of checking-in. They were not helpful in any manner and once we understood their behavior, we just avoided them. In fact the guy was very rude. The reception area looked like a mediocre lodge and the property is not well maintained. However, room was clean and was provided with TV, mini refrigerator, telephone, tea/coffee maker, iron box and free Wi-Fi. Bathroom had essential toiletries. There were loud noises coming from the corridor, even at mid-night. Though bed was comfortable, sleep was not comfortable for the noises coming from outside. Breakfast is not provided, however, free tea/coffee and a microwave facility is provided in the ground floor. A vending machine for snacks and drinks is kept nearby. There are plenty of eateries and bars not far off in Hollywood Blvd. Housekeeping is very poor. We made some request, which was never attended. We could see bottles and waste kept near the elevator and in the corridor. Often took the staircase, as we need to wait long time for the very old and slow moving elevator. There is a self- operated coin laundry, but, it was the most expensive laundry during all my stays in US. They charged $5 for one trip of washing and drying, whereas it was $3 in all other hotels. Metro station is only about 10 minutes walking distance. The street from Hollywood Blvd to the motel mostly look deserted and it is bit scary, especially in the evenings. You can find lot of drug ******* and homeless hanging around that area. Despite the price being high, I didn’t have high expectations of this place as Hollywood is expensive and you won’t get a good hotel for this price. However, that is not an excuse for rude behavior of staff and poor maintenance of the property. Overall, not happy with the stay and will never return.

We were really impressed by Samesun Hostel in Venice. The staff was super friendly, breakfast was very nice. We appreciated free beach and shower towels and availability of room cleaning daily was also very nice. Location was also extremely nice. Prior to arriving, one of the staff members (Blue) was very kind and helped to accommodate all 4 of us in same room. I would definitely stay at this hostel when I come back to LA! Thank you!

Хороший чистый отель ! Рядом центр из минусов да рядом бомжи но это Сан-Франциско ! Прям у отеля остановка 31 троллейбус на Окшен бич . В отеле есть все необходимо шампунь, гель доя душа , кондиционер , фен . Постельное белье чистое. Чай, кофе, вода с лимоном бесплатно . И самое удивительное что цена очень адекватная примерно 60 долларов за ночь ( ноябрь 2024) Разрешили оставить вещи после выселение. Разговаривают на Английском и Испанском языке что для меня очень удобно !

It’s was an ok stay. Nothing crazy. Somewhere to rest. The beds say Queen they’re more like a full. Other then that it’s a great location to Disney 15min walk and 10 min walk to ToyStory busses. Nice stay overall.

디즈니랜드에서 걸어서 15분 이상 걸려요~ 이를 뛰어넘는 최고의 장점 첫 번째는 무료 주차 두 번째는 짐 보관서비스(Late check-in)입니다. 호텔 도착하여 짐만 맡겨놓고 디즈니랜드에서 놀다가 밤에 체크인해도 된다는 것입니다~ 룸 서비스는 이용을 안 해봐서 모르겠습니다. 데스크 친절하십니다. 와이파이 되는 점도 좋아요. 수영장은 이용을 안 해봤습니다. 조식이 없는 게 좀 아쉬웠어요~ 그런데 주변에 하우스 오브 블루스라는 락공연장이 있어서 아주 좋았어요. Garden of walk인가 거기가 작은 쇼핑몰처럼 잘 되어 있구요. 조식 먹을 식당도 주변에 좀 있어서 아주 좋았어요. Cms라는 마트도 주변에 조금만 걸어가면 있어서 잘 이용했습니다. 숙소 냉장고 잘 이용했습니다.^^ 수압도 좋아요.

드라이어는 없다고 입소문이 있었습니다만 소리를 걸면, 쾌적하게 빌려 주었습니다! 스탭도 모두 상냥하게 미소로 대응해 주셔, 매우 살아났습니다! 작은 편의점도 있기 때문에 배가 고프면 피자나 라면도 살 수 있었습니다! 디즈니까지 15분 정도 걸립니다. 야도도 차가 잘 다니기 때문에, 그다지 무서움을 느끼지 않았습니다. 또 여기에 묵고 싶다! 어쨌든 방이 넓다!

깔끔하고 주변시설이 잘되어있습니다. 아침 식사는 괜찮았습니다. 어바인에 가서 비즈니스를하고 체크인하는 것이 매우 편리합니다. 여름 방학 기간에는 객실 요금이 상대적으로 높습니다. 주차 공간이 많이 있습니다. 엘리베이터가 있는데 꽤 좋습니다.

we were told that a 50$ deposit will be held for two weeks. never returned it. when i called they said the housekeeper claimed we smoked in the room.. we’re not smokers. we don’t even have anything to smoke with. asked why the housekeeper would even say that, what made her think that. they dont know. they just go off of her word. i then asked for a manager. no manager on site told to call later. called later no manager. they took my name and number and said they’d called back. never did. come to a few days later, they charged my card again for the deposit. absolutely disgusting. should be ashamed of the way you are treating your customers and running this business. something that could be a simple fix into this. so watch your credit card around these people! they’ll scam you and when you try to get them to fix it , they’ll take more 🤣

Location: you know how it is Location Location Location is always key, well this hostel is so close to ghetto, being on 14th Street, a sad conglomeration of homelessness and crime. I saw a worker having to go after a bystander that seemed to have been waiting for anyone to come out of the place, then a biker stole a displaced person's handbag (appeared to have passed out under the influence outside the premises). Staff: I liked Carlos and Ricky a lot, both were always very helpful, accommodating, so was the darker lady at the front desk and the cleaning attendant. I would have problems with my NZ phone to rebook and extend my stays, both would just take care of my reservation by phone and they would email me the confirmation. This happened twice as I extended my stay for a total of 3 weeks. Unfortunately when I tried to do the same through a new worker on the phone (I apologize to not know his name), he sternly asserted that Ricky and Carlos should not be taking reservations by phone. I politely tried to explain myself that I've always had problems with my phone, that I was a repeat or returning guest, and Ricky and Carlos were just being helpful. My mistake was I had asked him if he was the owner then I realized who he was, through the same voice that I would hear in the lobby getting upset over little things with other guests. As soon as I asked if he might have been the owner or manager (since he kept saying Ricky and Carlos were wrong to have helped me process my reservations to extend via phone and email), he hung up and then sent me the email, which I have attached here. Common areas: I wouldn't say they are the classiest and cleanest of hostels in town. If you want a real ”classy” hostel, unassuming without shoving the term in your face, GO TO HI HOSTEL (HOSTEL INTERNATIONAL), they are the cleanest, classy if one must say, organized, huge common areas that are not noisy (Stay Classy can very noisy), right in the middle of Gaslamp Quarter and non-profit. Bed: excellent concept of the separation of ”quarters” via heavy curtains, but tbh it got claustrophobic if you stay long enough in your lil space. It also felt like a morgue as you enter the passageway of the room with all these quarters.

I booked this hotel for 5 days through Priceline. When I checked in, I asked for a first floor room because I have a heavy bag and did not want to carry it up the stairs because I did not see an elevator. When I got in the room, the whole room was very filthy. The ceiling in the bedroom area had mold approximately two feet diameter. I checked the bathroom and the ceiling was molded also approximately a foot in diameter. The whole room was just filthy. I went back to the front desk and told the person working that the room she gave me was filthy. She gave me an attitude telling me, “Well, you’re the one who wanted the first floor!” Apparently, it’s my fault for asking for a room on the first floor and that it had mold. So, she gave me the second floor room. Since it’s the second floor, there’s no third floor, there was no mold on the ceiling. It was a little late and I just decided to stay. In the middle of the night, I saw a couple of roaches in the bathroom area. I ignored it because it’s was too late to find another hotel and I used my money for Knights Inn. The next day, I was out and about so I wasn’t in the room all day. I got back, I saw roaches again. Then I got curious and checked the pillows. I removed the pillow cases and the pillows are yellowish brown from not being washed and dried out bodily fluids or whatever it was. Since it was late, I have decided that I will check out the next morning and just ask for the refund for the rest of the days I won’t be staying. The next day, I asked to check out and told the person why I’m checking out early. It’s the same person who gave me the attitude the day I checked in. I asked to get a refund but she refused and told me I had to get it from the third party where I reserved it from. I told them that I called Priceline and that Priceline told me that they have to refund it to me since the money was already given to them. She told me she can’t do anything. I am currently reporting them to State Health Services and reporting them to their company. The hotel is a health hazard. Do not stay.
