The food was excellent, well cooked, well presented by helpful friendly team. Lovely dining room leading to a terrace. In summer, with the doors open it would be wonderful, and on a grey November day it was cosy, warm and peaceful. The room was comfortably furnished and the wireless docking charger was an impressive addition, as were the individually wrapped biscuits. Good to have a cafetiere too. As detailed in the description, the approach to the car park is very narrow, and needed careful negotiation with our GLC (parking sensors screaming all the while). But a car park in a town centre hotel is a bonus. It's a fine old house and to me our quiet room at the back had a certain mustiness, but I have an acute sense of smell. My husband detected nothing, and I see no other reviews have mentioned it. It was better with the windows opened during our stay. We enjoyed our stay.

Good quality well designed room so although our room was small, it was fine for short stays. The small bathroom with shower could be more of a problem for bigger people. Fridge with water and fresh milk was a nice touch. Didn't use the restaurant in the evening but breakfast was fine. Staff helpful and friendly, We managed the small car park driveway fine but our car is old and small so easier to manage and less to risk. The car park itself was no problem.

I stayed for three nights in a lovely, quiet room at the back of the hotel. The quality of the bed, towels, robe and furnishings was excellent as was the cleanliness and house keeping. The Fleur delays theme is reflected in the bedding and curtains. The breakfast is really superb and having had breakfast here, the rest of the hotels I stayed in on my trip, didn’t quite come up to the very high standards, care and attention that is taken here to prepare everything with such attention to detail. I was visiting friends who live nearby but had dinner here alone one evening. It was a superb dining experience with a great deal of choice. I enjoyed a starter of monkfish and scallops, followed by Guinea fowl and then a chocolate box desert that somewhat defeated me. The car park entrance is a little tight but I managed to get a Mini Countryman in and out each day, just about and with care. If you like staying in places that are charming with no music blaring and tvs on, run by people who seem to really care about their guests I would highly recommend La Fleur de Lys.

Excellent : the food in La Fleur de Lys is exceptional - very high class, diverse and cooked with passion. The rooms are perfect with high quality fitments, bedding and rest room. Also with a stocked frig Great location, 7 miles from the main A303 and minutes away from the local shops and sites to see If you are a "foodie" like us, you will definitely not be disappointed - both chefs are absolutely excellent via their years working at high-end establishments

A lovely hotel, the attention to detail makes it a perfect place to stay. We had a cafetière for a proper coffee in the morning in our room, the hotel was spotless and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious as well with lots of choices available.
